Day 3

Day three was not as good as day one and two. Breakfast started off well as usual, can't complain there. A fruit smoothie with a banana. I had a ton of energy when I woke up and went for a run.

For lunch I ate a "picnic" brand meal that came complete with humus, nuts, endame, crackers, and chocolate. - All of this was vegan. I could not get over the smell of the humus. They claim it didn't need to be refrigerated but everyone is telling me humus should be refrigerated... -- My first experience with humus was a bad one. Took a small bite and through it down. The nuts weren't bad, however they were spicy and I'm not one for spice. The chocolate was very good and have yet to try the endame. I was hungry and at the shore so I ordered some fries that I made sure were cooked in vegetable oil. After eating them I found myself kinda slugglish, but at least I had something on my stomach, so I didn't get a headache. < But shortly after I did get a headache, that could be from a lack of food or the oil from the fries.

Went to Whole Foods to find vegan flat bread. ( found a good one from the middle east bakery.)

And then there was my lovely daiya cheese pizza dinner with a side of broccoli. I will say the broccoli was good. However the daiya cheese, which did melt as promised did not taste very good. It had a similar taste of that of cardboard. I pulled most of it off the pizza and ate the sauce and bread, but the bread was saturated with daiya cheese taste. I was feeling alright until I got up to leave the house. Upon leaving I felt ill. About an hour after dinner I was throwing up in Princeton due to this gross daiya cheese. I read reviews on this cheese and everyone says it is the best thing they've ever had. For me it was a dud. It made me question going vegan, because I don't think I could ever eat foods that taste like humus and daiya cheese.

Tomorrow I will be eating nothing but veggies and fruit because I don't think I can take another day of processed stuff.

Day 2.

Day two, I found I had a lot of energy. So much so I cleaned!! - Like mega a lot. After my run, cleaned the car, the rug, the coat closet, and the thingy by the door. Still pretty energized.

My day started late, I slept in. Ate a banana for breakfast and went for a run. After the run I had lunch which consisted of a berry smoothie, a plum, handful of grapes, and a handful of vegan granola.

After lunch is when I had the most energy, more energy than what I have on a regular day. This also marks another day free of any headaches.

Had a clementine as a snack, which made the small growl of my stomach go away.

Bizarre, but I think my driving was affected?? I found myself doing under the speed limit today and coming to full stops. Idk if it was just my mood or the food had mellowed me???

For dinner I ate a portabello mushroom over quinoa and spinach with a side of yam fries. Right after, had a sweet tooth so I ate a tootie fruitie vegan ice cream bar. And I was really full off that meal.

Lastly I ate one vegan rice cake as a night snack. Overall I felt really good today. I also have lost 2 pounds thus far. =)

Day 1.

Day one went really well. I went to bed last night feeling sick and uncomfortable. Today I woke up extremely thirsty, which I normally do. ( Some articles, I've read blame the morning thirst on certain types of cheese that have been consumed the night before.- So we shall see if it goes away.)

For breakfast I had a banana, vegan granola, and a hand full of black berries. < This is not much different then what my normal breakfast would be. However some days I would eat none vegan granola cereal. With my breakfast my energy level was about the same as it was any other day, probably because it was pretty much the same as every other day.

For lunch I had a blue mango burger which is soy free and vegan. Instead of putting it on a bun I placed the burger in between two beds of lettuce.- That might take some getting used to, however it wasn't as bad as I anticipated, I was just kinda still looking for a bun. - I believe my buns contain casein, which is why I opted out. On the side I had a bowl of watermelon. - My usual none vegan lunch would have probably been a cucumber sandwich with feta cheese on wheat bread with some fruit and animal crackers or regular crackers. < most of my lunch had dairy and hidden dairy, before. - Today I did notice I wasn't lazy feeling after lunch. I got right up and went to the store and purchased some Daiya cheese, humus, vegan crackers, mushrooms, squash, and onions.

Once back from the store my new blender arrived!!!- Made a spinach, cucumber, banana, berry smoothie. - Wicked energy from that. Went and ran a mile and did some yoga.

For dinner I had roasted butternut squash with onions (a recipe from the kind diet.) with a side of dirty rice from the happy herbivore. Both were filling. After that ate a vegan cinnamon bun. I am laying in bed without a stomach ache, no headache, and still kinda wide awake. Perhaps the none dairy will help eliminate headaches?- or is it just by accident that I don't have a headache by the end of the day?
